New Read: Bob Ong ABNKKBSNPLAko?!

ABNKKBSNPLAko?! is the first ever book I've read from Bob Ong. I know this book is a popular one. I remember Jericho Rosales starring in the film adaptation of it although I've also not seen that. Since I'm trying to expand the kind of books I'm reading beyond my usual chic lit, I thought I'd give Bob Ong a try after I talked to someone who said he liked this author's books.

This books seems to be an autobiography where Bob Ong recounts the story of his childhood life - elementary, high school, university life and finally his adult working life.
What I Thought of this Book:

I highly enjoyed reading ABNKKBSNPLAko. It's a timeless story. This book has been around for years and even though I only got around to reading this, it's still very relevant.

It's also very much relatable! My school days are far behind me considering I'm already in my 30s but reading this book brought on waves of nostalgia as I remembered how my experience when I was still studying. Even though I studied in a private school, the stories he shared of how his school life was had a lot of similarities from my own.

I studied in one school from kindergarten until high school where you'd almost know everyone by the time you reach high school because they also started primary school there and didn't leave until you all had to because there was no College in that school. I have good memories from that school. And I learned a lot - from the subjects I studied, from my teachers and from my fellow students as well while in school. I believe our school life also plays a big role in how we become as we grow up and how we deal with things out there in the real world as adults.

I like that it was also told in a very humorous way. I often found myself giggling in amusement from what I was reading. The humor in this book reminded me of that same guy who said he liked reading Bob Ong. I think they share the same kind of humor.

I like these excerpts from the book:
