How time flies! Already it’s April here in the Philippines and the cold days are over. It’s just a whole lot summer sun from here until maybe May or June. Not sad at all. In fact despite this heat where I find myself already sweating even after just a few minutes after a bath, I’m happy that it’s summer season.

Speaking of happy, I haven’t shared a list in quite awhile. In fact, I haven’t blogged much last month. But that’s about to change. Starting with this new happy list.

1. One week vacation

I didn’t do or think of work this last week of March because I was away on a travel to Siem Reap, Cambodia. Watch out for my blog post on that. I’m grateful for the break because I’ve come back feeling refreshed, focused and motivated again to work which I know is about to get crazy busy.

2. Watching the sun rise in Angkor Wat

Angkor Wat has been in my bucket list for a while now but Siem Reap’s not an easy place to go to when you’ve got budget restrictions. Not that Cambodia’s expensive. It’s just that flights are limited and can get quite expensive. Luckily last year, I was finally able to book a flight during one of Cebu Pacific’s seat sale.

I was up at dawn, at 4 in the morning, just to go to Angkor Wat for the experience and I have to say it really is beautiful especially seeing the temple’s towers reflecting on the lake just as the sun rises.

3. Being back in PR

Last year I decided I’d venture into digital marketing. But while digital is nice and interesting but I couldn’t bring myself to let go of PR. Finally this year, I took action. I talked to my boss and told him I wanted the best of both worlds – PR and digital marketing because well why do I have to choose between one or the other when I want them both? Both have something good to offer for me in terms of career growth.

4. Me time

While it’s fun to be surrounded by friends, travelling or just hanging out but I also like my alone time. I go home when I want to go home. I do what I want to do and there’s no need to consider anyone else. I like my alone time as well because it helps me get in touch with myself. My needs. My plans. It’s my time to re-energize too.

5. And last but not the least, every other Friday Body Jam class.

No better way to end a work week and celebrate the fact that it’s finally weekend.
