Well it’s the weekend! And a rainy one too. So if you’re like me who doesn’t like to go out on a weather like this, a nice, relaxing way to spend the weekend is to curl up in bed and read a good book. I browsed through Spot.ph, a website I like to visit frequently ‘cos they’ve got such interesting articles and I found an article called: 10 Books We Can’t Wait to Read. Well I’m not going to post all their book recos, just a couple I thought I’d like to read myself.
What it’s about: Using stories, helpful hints and real-life anecdotes, Guiliano draws on her personal experiences in the business world to dispense practical advice for readers who want to balance work and relationships, and even offers tips for turning oneself into a winning brand.
I think this will be a good read for me. I so want to be successful in my career. (From Spot.ph)
What it’s about: In this true story, Albom shares his experiences with two men of faith: a dying 82-year-old rabbi who asks him to deliver his eulogy and a pastor who preaches to an impoverished congregation. As the two leaders struggle, Albom learns to rekindle his own faith and discovers the striking similarities between the two beliefs beneath their obvious differences. (From Spot.ph)
I read both Tuesdays with Morrie and Five People You Meet in Heaven and they both tugged my heartstrings. I enjoyed both so I’m very interested to read this new book of Mitch Albom.
Check out Spot.ph’s recommended books here.
