One Monday night after work, Maila and I decided to de-stress from work by going to the mall before going home. We usually like to past the time at the mall after office these days since we have a serious dislike for battling with the rush hour crowd in the MRT.
I just read about Lucca Bakery from Spot.ph that afternoon. It was part of the list of 10 best cafes for #HOHOL (Hang out, hang out lang). So I asked Maila to go here considering this coffee shop is near where we work.
Personally, I find that the interiors look warm and inviting. You can probably sit in one of those chairs and read while drinking coffee – but not after office hours when we visited. The place was packed with people. But on a weekday, I imagine that in the middle of the afternoon, this coffee shop can be relaxing and quiet.
I went here with my friend, Maila and my workmate, Michael from our creatives department. First time I ever hung out with him. He’s such a quiet guy.
Pastries from Lucca:
And sweets like cupcakes and cakes.
These are what we ordered:
Michael ordered this triple decker chocolate cake for us three to share |
Maila ordered chocolate croissant |
I ordered the Red Velvet cupcake because red velvet is my favorite! |
Plus coffee for me and Maila and milk tea for Michael.
The food was okay. The pastries like the cupcake and cake were sweet but not overpoweringly so and the coffees were smooth and creamy. While I believe I’ll always be a Coffee Bean girl at heart, it was still nice to visit a different coffee shop every now and then.
