I got a last minute invite to go to Manila Ocean Park one weekend. My friend, Anerine, had tickets which she bought on promo at Metrodeal. Since I didn’t have plans that Saturday, I happily went with her.

The weather was gloomy when we went. But since it wasn’t raining cats and dogs outside, we still pushed through with the plan.
I’ve been to Manila Ocean Park before but that was years ago. I think it was still pretty new back then so when I visited again, it was a completely new and different experience for me. Anerine’s main reason for going was because she wanted to sit at the Iron Throne (if you watch GoT, then you’ll know what I’m talking about) and so our first stop was Yexel’s Museum.
Whats inside this museum? Toys, toys and more toys! But not just any toys!
Minions!
Alvin and the Chipmunks
Iron Man – I know someone who’s a big fan and would love to see this!
DC and Marvel superheroes

Cinderella’s glass slipper

And my favorites:
Oh no! It’s the invasion of Storm Troopers!

I’ve become part of the Council of Elrond, LoTR

And last but the not least, the highlight of our Yexel’s Museum visit:

The Iron Throne!

In fact, Erin went to the extent of bringing a long gown to wear just so we could take her photo sitting on the Iron Throne like she was Daenerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones.

We went on to explore the other sights to see inside Manila Ocean Park afterwards.

This is us inside the tunnel where you can see various fishes swimming above you through a glass ceiling.

Some of the marine life we saw inside:

Sharks!
Oh look it’s Nemo aka clown fish

And then we went outside where the sting rays and sharks were. I was able to touch the sting ray with a little help from the caretakers of course!

The Metrodeal package that Anerine got also included the Fish Spa. This thrilled me a lot!
Little fishes nibbled away the dead skin cells under my feet. And it tickled a lot!
Before we went home, we took a photo in front of the national hero, Rizal at the Rizal Park.
It had already started raining but we refused to take shelter or bring out our umbrella for photo’s sake. From this angle, only a little of the pambansang photobomber aka the DMCI Condominium that was being constructed could be seen.
It was an overall fun Saturday trip at the. Manila Ocean Park. Well worth the colds I got after our adventure in the city of Manila. I felt like a kid seeing all the marine animals in the park and I was very much amazed. It’s a big park and we honestly didn’t get to see everything there was to see. Perhaps next time around I would.
Manila Ocean Park is a fun adventure to do in the city of Manila whether with your significant other, your barkada or with your family.
