Last year, I borrowed this book from my friend, Mai: The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin. It’s been with me for awhile. Finally last week while I was getting my hair done at the salon, I decided to start reading it.

This phrase in this book “The days are long, but the years are short. Time is passing and I’m not focusing enough on the things that really matter.” got me. I’ve been so caught up with the hustle and bustle of life that I forget that even though I’m not always having adventures or getting some much needed long R&R, I still have some good things happening in my life.

This past week I’ve decided I’m going to document those good moments so I would be able to remember them especially whenever I find myself looking at the glass half empty. This is my own happiness project.

My week’s good moments:

Shared meal with Maila

I was feeling like the stress of the job was beginning to overwhelm me and I told my friend from work, Maila, I felt like going out for a breather. We ended up grabbing a light dinner after work at Terikayi Boy. We shared a solo order of chicken karaage and california maki plus iced tea and then just talked. Good meal + good friend = a good way to cap off work

Friday night is movie night

Yesterday my friend, Ver invited me to watch X-Men: Apocalypse. I didn’t enjoy the movie but I loved that I watched it with Ver and Ryan. You just can’t go wrong when you’re in the company of good friends. It was a good way to end a really harrowing work week.

OOTD shoot and dined in at a place we haven’t been to before

My weekend is usually spent having dinner and coffee in the mall with my high school friends, Mai and Ryan. This weekend is a little different though. Mai and I spent it walking around Salcedo Village, Makati, taking OOTD photos (we were both wearing a dress) and finally eating at La Creperie.

I love walking around Makati. So many things to discover around this city alone.
