Time sure flew by! We’re already in April! It’s officially summer in the Philippines. But before going full-on summer mode, I wanted to do a little fashion rewind. For those of you who follow me on Instagram, you’ve most likely seen some of the looks I’m posting here in my IG stories. Now, you’re gonna get to see them again but this time, I’m also going to give those outfits more detail.

As a Filipina fashion blogger in her 30s, I’m all about dressing for comfort and style that exudes confidence and that’s what you’ll see here.

Work OOTDs That Gave Me Confidence

Outfit details: top from RAF Manila, skirt from Style Ana and ballet flats from Charles and Keith. Watch from Samsung Galaxy Wearable 5

I wore this when I attended the announcement party of Allure Philippines. I remember reading Allure back when I was a teenager. Oh, how I loved the eye shadow makeup and fragrance testers in the magazine! Now, this international beauty magazine is finally in the Philippines! The pink top is part of a co-ord set, but I’m mixing it up so I can use it more. As for the skirt, I bought it a couple of years ago at a Rockwell bazaar. I was supposed to wear this as part of my modern Filipiniana look for a wedding that didn’t happen. And ballet flats are so hot right now, and this pair from Charles and Keith are so cute! This Filipina fashion blogger just couldn’t resist buying it.

Top: Love, Bonito, Pants: The Editor’s Market, and ballet flats from Zoey Paris

This particular pair of pants was an impulsive buy, but so worth it! It fits me right and flatters my figure. As for my Zoey ballet flats? I found it in the orange app, and thought they were cute, so I bought them. They’re also comfy to wear, which is great for those work events that I need to be standing and walking around a lot, and great for walking, which I love to do.

Dress: SM Department store, shoes: Charles and Keith

I wore this particular look to a work seminar sponsored by my company. The heels I wore in this photo are fairly new – an impulse buy with a friend who convinced me to do shoe twinning. I was confident to wear high heels since I knew I would be sitting all afternoon.

Dress: H&M, Heels: Chloe

I rocked earth-toned colors for work this time around and thought the park was a perfect shoot location. This was for a back-to-back media engagement we had for one of our clients. The engagements were in the afternoon, but I went out early so I could take a quick OOTD. That’s part of me committing to documenting the outfits I wear as a Filipina fashion blogger. I really love my Chloe heels. The heels are square, so they’re comfortable to wear even when I’m standing still for a while or walking.

Sporty Chic Looks

My friends and I like to play badminton from time to time. It’s a great workout and fun too. I had my H&M pink top paired with a pink skort from SHEIN and Nike rubber shoes, but I took it off for a quick photo. Swipe right to see it! This was taken at MET Park Sports Center, a newly opened sports center near SM Mall of Asia.

I shared about my Sunday walking habit in my first quarter wrap-up post. This is what I wore on the very first Sunday that my cousin and I started doing our Sunday walk. We walked from Mall of Asia to Parqal, ASEANA, and back. I chose to wear one of my pink workout tops from SHEIN paired with my blue cotton shorts from Adidas, which are soooo comfy btw, and my pink and white Adidas Ultraboost. Of course, I wore my Samsung Galaxy Wearable 5 too to track my steps. I got this smartwatch as a freebie when I renewed my postpaid plan last year. I’m not a watch person, but I often wear this because it’s so useful!

Top: SHEIN, shorts: Under Armor, Shoes: Ultraboost. belt bag: Shopee

Another Sunday walking outfit! I’m wearing pinks again, though I swear my favorite color is green. LOL! Anyway, I wore this when my cousin and I walked from Mall of Asia to CCP Complex. My Gen Z cousin wanted to see the Manila Film Center because she heard it’s haunted. Of course, I knew all about the story of the haunted Manila Film Center. I’ve seen it covered in documentaries such as Magandang Gabi Bayan, back when I was growing up so I told her all about it.

Weekend Fashion Around the Metro

Romper: Zara, sneakers: Nike

I wore this when I went to visit my cousin in his condo. Summer season was starting, so I rocked a summer-ready outfit. Another fashion item I’ve come to love are sneakers. I used to think they’re reserved for sporty people, which I am not, or the gym. But they’re stylish and can be versatile to wear. You know I got this particular pair of sneakers from eBay? I fell in love with the design when I saw it being customized by someone on Instagram for Taylor Swift’s 1989 album. Turns out it’s a model that’s no longer available in stores but because I really like it, I searched high and low for it.

  • Marc Jacobs Wicked limited edition hobo bag

I went to this Taylor Swift-themed cafe on a weekend with my cousins. I chose to wear my RAF salmon co-ords paired with my Aztrid ballet flats. As for my bag, I brought along my Marc Jacobs Wicked hobo bag. I bought this bag last year on New Year’s Eve after I saw it on display in the Marc Jacobs store in Greenbelt 5. I couldn’t forget the bag, so I bought it. It’s expensive, but I’m happy about my purchase. As for my flats? Well, I saw Aztrid’s buy 1, get 3 Facebook ad. I could not believe it was real either, but it was! These flats are also super comfy to walk in.

I wore this outfit the day after Valentine’s Day. I didn’t have a Valentine’s date, but that didn’t stop me from dressing up and taking a photo of my outfit. Took my tripod, went to Ayala Triangle Park in Makati, and posed away.

I’m wearing my Urban Revivo dress paired with sneakers that are also from the brand. The shoes are actually a tad bigger than my feet, but I bought them anyway because I really liked their pastel color. I figured with socks, I could get away with i,t but I think it’s high time I accepted that it’s too big for me. I’m selling this pair now so if you like it, check out my Carousell! I also wore a couple of crystal bracelets The pink quartz is for love, and the multi-colored one is prosperity, health, and love. I want to attract those, so you’ll find me constantly wearing the bracelets.

Top: The Landmark, skirt: SM Department store, bag: La Filippine

Back at my cousin’s condo again! I love his place. The grounds make a pretty background for a photo. I’m wearing department store buys on this look – both of which I just saw on display as I was passing by. I don’t have a lot of miniskirts in my closet these days. I’ve been conscious that miniskirts might not be age-appropriate anymore given I’m almost forty. But it’s so cute. Why let such thoughts stop me from wearing something that makes me feel pretty?

Speaking of age-inappropriate outfits for a Filipina fashion blogger in her 30s, I’ve also thought crop tops belong in that category. Yet, here I was wearing a crop tank top and a denim mini skirt. I think I look cute. Who’s to say we older gals can’t rock minis? I say, wear what makes us feel good. I wore this particular outfit for Spotify’s Taylor Swift exhibit. Also brought along my Taylor Swift Midnight Cardigan, which got me compliments from fellow Swifties

Top: Uniqlo, Pants: Adidas, Shoes: Puma

And lastly, this is the outfit I wore when I met up with a friend at BGC. I wanted to see the Palawan cherry blossoms around the area. That’s the tree behind my back. Pretty, isn’t it? I only wish there was more of it around. It was a gloomy day and I didn’t feel like dressing up much. But at least I wore pants that had a pop of color for fun!

So that’s it for my February and March fashion roundup. I’ll be back soon for April’s closet diaries. For now, how about checking out this Filipina fashion blogger ‘s January closet diary?
