I just received exciting news for October – The Kardashians on Disney+ is finally returning for Season 8!
I’ve been following this family since Keeping Up with the Kardashians days. So yeah, I’ve been watching their lives unfold on television for years. I am absolutely invested in whatever drama, family moments, business ventures, relationship updates, and over-the-top lifestyle moments they bring to the screen next.
The Kardashians Are Entering a New Chapter
Season 8 premieres October 8 on Disney+ Philippines, and this time, the Kardashian-Jenner family is entering what Disney+ describes as a new chapter centered on love, reinvention, and what comes next.
Kris Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian Barker, Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, and Kylie Jenner are all back, with the new season following their personal lives alongside their ever-growing business empires.
And while the family has never exactly been short on things happening around them, this season seems to lean into some more personal territory: healing old wounds, reinvention, embracing independence, and new relationships (Ooh, wonder if they’ll talk about Kim’s new beau, Lewis Hamilton?).
Basically, there is still plenty going on in Kardashian-land.
Why I Still Watch The Kardashians
There is something about watching this family that I find endlessly entertaining.
Part of it is obviously the lifestyle. I mean, who doesn’t enjoy getting a peek into homes, wardrobes, vacations, businesses, family gatherings, and lives that are so far removed from the average person’s everyday reality?
But I think what keeps me watching is the family dynamic.
For all the glamour and businesses and headlines surrounding them, The Kardashians is ultimately a show about a family. We get to see sisters disagree, make up, support one another, celebrate milestones, deal with changes, and occasionally get on each other’s nerves.
And because I’ve watched them for so long, there is also that feeling of familiarity. These aren’t characters in a scripted series. They are people I’ve watched grow, change careers, start businesses, enter relationships, become mothers, and move through different stages of their lives.
That makes every new season feel a little bit like checking in on people you’ve been following for years.
The Kardashians is my guilty pleasure show. I’m definitely thrilled to find out that a new season is finally dropping soon.
It’ll be a couple of weeks before I get to watch this K-razy family back on screen. Meanwhile, I might just rewatch Seasons 1- 7 of The Kardashians on Disney+ while I wait.
