My watchlist is getting longer again!

If there’s one thing I can never have enough of, it’s watching all the movies and series on my streaming platforms. Disney+ Philippines has several new titles lined up for the coming weeks, while Disney Studios will bring a new animated adventure to Philippine cinemas before November ends.

From a live-action reimagining of a beloved Disney classic to a mystery series, a legal drama, and a magical animated film, there’s something to look forward to whether you prefer a cozy night on the couch or a trip to the cinema.

Here are the Disney+ upcoming releases and Disney Studios movies I’m adding to my watchlist, starting this October.

1. Phony — October 20, 2026

What would you do if you suddenly realized that your own mother wasn’t who she claimed to be?

That’s the unsettling premise of Phony, a coming-of-age mystery series starring Sam Nivola and Connie Britton.

The story follows Sonny, a teenager who wakes up in the hospital after a car accident. When he sees his mother, Ellen, he becomes convinced that someone has replaced her with an impostor. The problem? Nobody else seems to notice anything unusual.

I’m curious to see how the series plays with identity, family, and whether Sonny can trust his own perceptions. Is his mother really an impostor, or does the truth lie somewhere else?

If you enjoy mysteries that make you question what’s real, add this to your Disney+ watchlist.

2. Moana — October 21, 2026

It’s time to return to Motunui!

Disney’s live-action Moana arrives on Disney+ Philippines on October 21, bringing the beloved ocean adventure to the small screen.

Catch Moana Live Action, one of Disney+ upcoming releases to watch in 2026

Catherine Lagaʻaia stars as Moana, the courageous wayfinder who answers the ocean’s call and ventures beyond her island’s reef. Along the way, she teams up with Maui, the larger-than-life demigod played by Dwayne Johnson, on a journey to restore prosperity to her people.

The live-action film revisits the story, characters, and music that made the original animated movie a favorite among Disney fans. Expect familiar songs, including “How Far I’ll Go” and “I Am Moana,” alongside the new song “Along the Way.”

I saw Moana live-action in cinemas, and now I’m looking forward to seeing how Disney brings Moana’s colorful world to life with live-action performances and breathtaking ocean visuals. And since the original film has such memorable music, this feels like a perfect excuse for a family movie night.

Time to sing along!

3. All’s Fair Season 2 — November 4, 2026

The lawyers are back, and apparently, the drama isn’t going anywhere.

Ryan Murphy’s legal comedy All’s Fair returns for its second season on November 4, with three episodes premiering on Disney+ Philippines through Hulu. New episodes will follow every Wednesday.

Kim Kardashian, Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash-Betts, Teyana Taylor, Matthew Noszka, and Cauã Reymond return, alongside Sarah Paulson and Glenn Close.

The new season brings more scandals, secrets, and complicated relationships to the law firm Grant, Ronson & Greene. As the characters form new alliances, old friendships face new challenges, and a shocking revelation threatens the firm’s future.

If you enjoy a good dose of celebrity drama, I can see why All’s Fair might appeal to viewers who like their legal stories with plenty of glamour and personal intrigue.

I’m curious to see what new twists await these lawyers this season. With this cast, things certainly won’t stay quiet for long.

4. Disney’s Hexed — November 25, 2026

Disney fans who prefer animated adventures have something to look forward to this November.

Walt Disney Animation Studios brings Disney’s Hexed to Philippine cinemas on November 25. The original animated film follows Billie Doe, an unconventional teenager who discovers that she has magical abilities.

Her newfound powers take her from ordinary suburban life into Hexe, a spectacular realm of witches. Billie must work with her cautious mother, Alice, to uncover family secrets that could change the magical world forever.

The voice cast includes Hailee Steinfeld as Billie, Rashida Jones as Alice, Walton Goggins as Beef Roger Crummchuk, and Jodie Foster as Queen Celeste. Henry Winkler and Dan Stevens also join the cast.

The premise already sounds like a fun mix of magic, family mysteries, and coming-of-age adventures. I especially like stories that pair a young protagonist with a parent who sees the world very differently. Add a magical realm and a three-eyed cat to the mix, and you have my attention.

Although Hexed won’t stream on Disney+ when it opens in Philippine cinemas, it’s worth keeping on your moviegoing radar.

5. The Land — February 15, 2027

If you’re already looking beyond the holiday season, here’s another series to keep in mind.

The Land, a new drama from Dan Fogelman, the creator behind This Is Us and Paradise, premieres on Disney+ Philippines on February 15, 2027. The series will debut with two episodes, then air weekly on Mondays.

THE LAND – “First Look” – After several disappointing seasons, Cleveland Browns’ head coach Danny Rourke has one last chance to turn around his football team. His fate rests on a newly drafted Ohio State quarterback — who just happens to be his son. Meanwhile, the owner, Hal Durkin, must decide which of his two daughters is best equipped to take over the team. “The Land” is the story of two families, in which the high-stakes drama plays out not only on the field but also in the front offices of this NFL franchise, as a loyal fanbase wants a winning season now … or face big changes if they don’t. (Disney) BRIDGET MOYNAHAN

The story centers on Danny Roarke, a struggling Cleveland Browns head coach who gets one last chance to turn his football team around. His biggest challenge? The newly drafted quarterback who could save his career is his son.

Meanwhile, team owner Hal Durkin must decide which of his two daughters should take over the franchise. With family tensions, professional rivalries, and the pressure to deliver a winning season, the drama extends well beyond the football field.

The series stars Christopher Meloni, Mandy Moore, Chace Crawford, Sam Corlett, Chloe Bennet, Bridget Moynahan, William H. Macy, and Omar Epps, among others.

What interests me about The Land is how it combines sports, family relationships, and workplace power struggles. You don’t necessarily need to follow American football to appreciate a story about family expectations, ambition, and the pressure to succeed.

I’m adding this one to my early 2027 watchlist.

My Disney+ Watchlist Is Growing

With Phony arriving in October, the live-action Moana following right behind it, and All’s Fair returning in November, I already have a few more shows and movies to squeeze into my viewing schedule.

Then there’s Disney’s Hexed, which gives me another reason to plan a cinema date, and The Land, which offers something to look forward to next year.

These Disney+ upcoming releases cover different moods, from mysterious and dramatic to magical and family-friendly. That’s what I enjoy about having several streaming options: there’s usually something to match whatever mood I’m in.

Now, if only I could find a few extra hours in the day to watch everything!

Which of these Disney+ releases or Disney Studios movies are you most excited about? Tell me in the comments!
